Kimberly P. Simoes, a native of Mississippi, graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Kimberly handles actions filed in Florida state and federal courts and has tried cases in both venues. Kimberly is admitted to practice before all U.S District Courts in Florida as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Kimberly is also a former judicial law clerk to the Mississippi Court of Appeals. By limiting her practice to policyholder claims and representation of the medical community, she has successfully handled thousands of claims against the insurance industry at the trial and the appellate level.
Attorney Simoes has represented medical providers and policyholders in thousands of lawsuits to recover first-party benefits under policies of insurance. Defended numerous medical providers in actions involving actions or claims of billing for fraudulent medical services, non-compliance with statutory and regulatory provisions of state and federal law, allegations of civil theft, deceptive and unfair trade practices relating to the provision of medical services and claims for recovery of medical benefits by insurance carriers. She has further experience handling contract disputes, claims for disability benefits, discovery disputes on behalf of non-party medical providers, business torts, personal injury litigation, class actions, bad faith claims, and administrative complaints against medical providers.
In addition to the Florida and Mississippi Bars, Attorney Simoes is a member of the American Association for Justice, Volusia County Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association.
